Kiss Of Death

The shadows are still waging war in my domain.
The darkness surrounds pulling me into the abyss.
Falling into the abstractions of time.
My nightmares come raining down in torrents.
My despair comes dragging a thousand years of agony.
In quiet desperation I am still trying to escape.
From deaths dark fire there is no way out.
The reaper comes relieving me with a touch of his hand.

As for mortality may my epitaph read. Oh gentle fool didn't I know that there were miles to go and a bridge to far to each before I could rest.
