You Dare

Author: Shan
I make just one look back
To laying in your arms like that
The last moment we had together
Meant to much to not remember
Your tender lips render me immobile
You whisper I love you and then it’s over
Your gentle touch, upon my neck
My soul was gleaming in your eyes
Everything you said that night
Was just a dare, it was just all lies
You had moved along, and left me standing still
I kept you like an unsung song
Within a thought for time to kill
You say emotions went unsaid
You claim to let each day be lead
By what’s within our hands
But that’s when you let go
That’s when you made other plans
That’s when you tore me up inside
You pretend, you dare, you lie
I don’t care if it hurts a thousand times
I feel it in my heart, as I stare up above
You know that we had something more than that
You know that I showed you love

Meridian (205.188.117.65) -- Friday, November 17 2006, 06:44 pm Hey Shan! What's happening? From break-up to make-up back to break-up...it's a shame that we all can't get along. Girl, one of my most recent college essays was centered around the topic Mars and Venus... The references I had to use to make my essay complete, had a lot of good advice about communication, timing, understanding, and last but not least...love. Don't feel too bad Shan, you've got love here! Nice flowing poem girl! Keep on! |
