Layer By Layer
14 November, 2006
Author: Rick Ryckman
The rain is pouring from my eyes.
Layer by layer ---- the walls are being built.
My ice castle engulfs me completely.
As I cringe in the center.
Having a sensation of fear!
In my wild despair ---- I am destitute.
I am overfilled to deliberate some agreement or compatibility.
Where is the crack from my soul?
That will deteriorate gradually, so I may find my ravine to cross.
This block of ice has frozen my heart and soul.
In my solid screaming ---- the ice drips blood.
Why are these feelings always confined to my waking or sleeping hours?
As the fiery blacken demons scorch their path.
Nevermore fading from sight ---- in it's persistently tormenting howl.
