Searching For Clarity
20 November, 2006
Author: Pondering Red
Another morning -
marked by breathless gasps
of forgotten dream segments.
It has started to rain -
November rain -
mirror sky -
dull yellow leaves hanging around.
I feel what ?
What is the cause of my distress
these past few weeks ??
I drink my coffee.
I get ready to go out.
Perhaps the remnants
of our fight
remain inside of me
battling with my subconsious -
trying to resolve differences.
I dread this long work day.
I am tightened all over.
I ought to knit myself out of anxiety -
write words until
I see some clarity -
splatter paint on long sheets of paper
like Jackson Pollock did
yet I would not control the splatter.
I would throw colours on until
some resolve would form
in my mind about us-
about what is wrong
with us ?
with me ?
Now, I venture out
there -
into the dimness-
into the wetness-
into somewhere
where
some things will happen
that may help me see
some clarity.
It's raining very hard.
