Persistence
26 November, 2006
Author: Rick Ryckman
Hanging in my rafters of terror.
My anguish is rebounding off my jagged walls.
When the night is shadowed deeply.
From the crimson inferno the flames are stinging.
Wrestling with my demons in the persistence of darkness.
Wallowing in time wondering which way to go.
Incarcerated in the very depths of grief.
My tears fall silently.
How can I relinquish this eternity?
