Painful Memories
27 November, 2006
Author: Rick Ryckman
The night lays the black rose of sorrow before me.
My fading memories still linger tightly.
Scraping the inside of my mind.
Into the mirror I look to see my un-fallen tears.
Walking the dark streets of time.
In the quiet silence I can hear the footsteps echoing.
Restless visions come staining my sight.
My despair is trembling from harsh fears.
For they lie deeply in my mind.
The reaper comes shrouded in the thickening darkness.
