Clouds
8 December, 2006
Author: Catyrose
Longing for a sense of relief
I looked outside myself today
Caught a glimpse of the clouds overhead
How peacefully they drift on by
Effortlessly they float above
In the frosty air
Easing themselves through the bluest skies
Pivoting about
Doubling over upon each other
Like children at play
Twisting and turning
In a heavenly dance
Such grace and poise they display
Each new shape
A delight to the imagination
For one can see whatever they wish in a cloud
Wisps that take the form of majestic towers
Filling with precipitation
Perhaps they will burst tonight
Raining down their precious gifts
Blessing the earth with snow flakes quite rare
A wondrous sight that all may share

Bipedalguy (4.156.129.154) -- Saturday, December 9 2006, 02:11 am Beautiful write. I especially like the part about how one can see in the infinite detail of clouds, whatever image fits ones fantasy. That this is true is a credit to the human condition, as well as to the wonder of nature. |
