Teenage Heaven
22 December, 2006
Author: Mental

vinebar

it was 1987
my own private
teenage heaven.
had some dreams
had some thoughts
almost didn't graduate
hey it wasn't my fault
graduation day did not go
better things to do
for a teenage goal.

------- Author's Notes -------

since 2007 is coming 20 years ago was my last day school year
so i'm trying to salute that year through poems.
and maybe scatter some throughout the yearand add some more.

enjoy

I always thought

You were a lot younger than your Author Notes imply. In my mind, you're between 17-25, because a lot of my peers and people younger than me would choose the same name.

Glad you graduated.

My teenage heaven was based on the fact that I was leaving HS. Felt the same way last year. Freedom was my first thought.

Great expression Mental.

You're welcome

You know, I wrote a poem not too long ago about being 40 soon. Not trying to rush my youth, but time is flying. 2011 is flying. Time is on a jet. Wish it would decelerate/slow down a little.
