jack

Bones now old and falling apart,
Any movement shows in the look,
Once I moved without a thought,
Today I think do I need that drink,
Children come to play and it hurts again,
Creeping around the frame ‘pain’ wonders free,
Don’t be sad and don’t be down
Coz with a smile and feet placed on the floor,
Another day has dawned and I’m still alive,
After a shower I’ll be fine
But it’s a bath I’d really enjoy
Someone once said its fun to get old
With this I agree to live each day new
It’s apart of me and deserves a name,
My ‘pain’ is now known as…. ‘Jack’ don’t ask me why,
We face each day with the adventure it brings,
Jack’s there to remind me age is a thing,
At times pills are taken to quiet Jack down,
Oh how do the youth of today do it?
I was the same and at times still do,
That’s when Jack reminds me to slow down,
See together we live in harmony
(Sort of)
