Road Of Change
27 December, 2006
Author: Miztrebor
As I look back at that land
All I can see is the shadows
Memories I had left in the past
Overflowing the valley once white with snow
Snow is nowhere near for reason of change
The black fog in the way of sight
And blinding of thought
I cannot look back any longer
I must move on from here
Down this road full of confusion
Off to a fresh green garden waiting
Just sitting there for me
Can I make it that far?
I already gave up too many times
Sat down waiting for an angel
But no angel came
Can I do this on my own?
I must find a way
I can’t stay stuck here for too long
The vultures are coming
And it’s not safe here in the open road
They’ll surely have my head
I must go on now
A little further down the road
A little further to my destination
And a little further away from the past
Which I must leave behind for good
