My Sanity
11 January, 2007
Author: Dija Abernathy
I can hear them talking,
calling out my name,
every bodies watching,
thinking im insane,
but i just keep on walking,
playing this crazy game,
the voices are so haunting,
and the people are getting lame.
They worry about my sanity,
they all believe im crazy,
as if life were a vanity,
id prefer to just be lazy.
I agree that im insane,
so please leave me alone,
this welfares not humane,
so please just let me zone,
my sanity ill not regain,
because that part of me is gone.
------- Author's Notes -------
My life has been hard, and sometimes i just know im losing it, but writing poems helps alot, and its some think im good at, its the best way to express how im feeling, so i use words to let others know how im feeling and they tell me what they think and try to help me out. |

Catyrose (128.123.85.206) -- Friday, January 12 2007, 08:21 am I started writing poems after several years of holding feelings inside. A dangerous thing to do! You're right it helps to get it out, to clarify what's really going on. And it gives others an opportunity to help or reassure you that they may feel the same and you're not so different after all. I always hang on to the fact that feelings are fleeting. And that they often pass. Take care. |
