The Last Word
11 January, 2007
Author: Bipedalguy
When it comes to what I most like doing
It's related to courting and wooing.
Though I still get my kicks
when I write Limericks,
There is nothing as great as canoeing.

I can't believe I just wrote that. |

Bipedalguy (4.156.51.27) -- Friday, January 12 2007, 10:26 pm Especially when a situation seems hopeless, and nothing one tries work's, the only thing that's worth anything is a sense of humor. "The Final Word" of The first version of this Limerick was not "canoeing". It was a nice word, but didn't rhyme properly, and readers might search for a word that did rhyme. The word that does fit is a crude one, so I repented, and changed it. I'm glad you're glad I wrote this. Thanks again, Bip |
MC (68.35.198.43) -- Tuesday, January 16 2007, 07:18 pm which do you prefer? The Flat head or the Phillips? LOL |
Bipedalguy (4.156.129.219) -- Tuesday, January 16 2007, 11:42 pm You have the secret word. To answer your question: I have no preference. I have many of each kind. Did you ever notice, when you need a Phillips, the first 5 you find are all flat head, and if you need a flat head, the first 5 are Phillips? You just gave me an idea for a new Limerick. I may title it "Murphy's Law". Thanks M.C. |

barb (67.58.199.81) -- Friday, February 2 2007, 11:35 pm I'm sorry but this went right over my head. I read and reread it and I don't see the flathead or phillips screwdriver thing mentioned. please help a confused old lady. lol |
Bipedalguy (4.156.129.127) -- Saturday, February 3 2007, 01:38 am As posted, "The Final Word", "canoeing" did rhyme, but didn't make sense. After my comment to Catyrose, one is lead to seek a word that fits. M.C. knew the word, but only referred to it by association with "Philips" and "flat head". As you knew, they're screwdriver types. The word "screwing" is implied, and it fits. I didn't use it. It's a little crude. Understanding the chuckles that developed around the comments may be a dissapointment, but thanks for asking, and have a great weekend. Bip |
