My Love, I Fell Apart
23 January, 2007
Author: Tammy
The day you left this world
my love, I fell apart.
I couldn't handle the pain
that wrapped around my heart.
I cried so many tears
as my life went out of control.
When they laid you in the ground
I just couldn't let you go.
I couldn't face the truth
that God needed you more then I.
How could he take you from me?
why did you have to die?
So many questions I asked him
with such anger in my heart.
The day God took you from me
my love, I fell apart.
I couldn't understand
the way things had to be.
I couldn't understand
why he took you away from me.
I tried so hard to understand
but anger was all I knew.
He took you away from me
and there was nothing I could do.
I couldn't bring you back
back to me, and our son.
I couldn't make things right
my life just came undone.
The day you left this world
my love, I fell apart.
And I still carry the pain
wrapped around my heart.
