Just A Dream
24 January, 2007
Author: T'Lonna Robbins
Late at night
In the darkness of my room
I look out my window
At the stars and at the moon
I'd close my eyes
And be out of the zone
I would run through a field
Of wild flowers
I would dance in the beams
Of the suns solar power
I would lie in the grass
I would fly in the breeze
Then I'd wake up to find
It was all just a dream
Early in the morning
When the light shines on my face
I would sit and wish
I was in a whole new place
I'd remember
My mind at a different stage
I would float on a cloud
Of my dreams
I would soar through the sky
And never be seen
I would walk on water
I would grow my own wings
Then I'd realized
It was all just a dream
I would climb a mountain
To touch the sky
I would swim the seas
Of tears thats been cried
I would build a bridge
For you and me
I would leave a trail
Filled with everything
I would catch the rain
So the sun never leaves
I would take away
Everything thats mean
Until I finally remember
It was all just a dream

Meridian (71.241.37.241) -- Thursday, January 25 2007, 06:02 am T'Lonna, girl I am scared stiff. No doubt this is a wonderful poem but I dream a lot of the EXACT same dreams. I'd sometimes park tomato (my car) when I'm not so busy, esp. on Saturdays and just lay in the back seat and basically dream with my eyes open. I'd ponder actually about running through the vast greenery to never return to the sorrows in my life. Absolutely fascinating! |
