In Memory Of Muffy
17 September, 2003
Author: Del
My very dear friend called me tonight
To tell me about Muffy, her cat.
Tomorrow she has to be put to sleep.
We both feel so sad about that
A sweeter kitty you've never seen,
My friend's only home companion for years.
Muffy liked me and I adored her,
So tonight my eyes filled with tears.
Whenever I'd go to visit my friend,
Muffy would sneak up to my chair.
She'd cock her head and look up to me
As if to say,'Pet me, you know where.'
Where do felines go when they die?
No one will ever know.
But Muffy had a wonderful life
With someone who loved her so.
