Searching For The Fear by Pondering Red

Dizzying days -
walking
on slanted floors
through
long hallways
to and away
from where you sleep
and do things
and do nothing.

Dizzying morning
of going to work -
Getting ready
to once again
venture outside -
You are half asleep.

Bright outside -
Silhouettes of branches -
stark -
no green -
white and brown.

I try to clarify things -
things that send me
to fears and doom.
I need a retreat from
my thoughts
of neverending
zooming anxieties
and order
and not doing
other things.

Perhaps today
I will get some clarity,
as I walk along
up the hill of
boring houses and sidewalks
of concrete - concrete-
everywhere
and noise
that I do not hear anymore -
dizzy - dizzy.

I look for something.
I have to look for my fear,
buried in these streets,
in the air of childhood memory
and reality.
It is here,
floating around.
I will find it soon.
