The Lies You Wrote
28 January, 2007
Author: Tammy
I'm reading every letter
down to the very last line.
Every word you've ever wrote
has been nothing but lies.
Each letter states you love me
each one tells you care.
So many promises you've made
and I am left in tears.
You say that you miss me
and without me, you can't be.
If that is the truth
then why keep lying to me?
Lies are all i'm reading
you've penned them all in blue.
If you will write me lies
then how will you ever be true?
Each one is signed with love
but how can you write lies?
Why write made up promises
leaving me to cry?
Each letter holds sadness
sadness of ones betrayal.
You never really loved me
but for you, I truly fell.
So please stop sending letters
I just can't handle the pain.
For all the pain i've endured
will forever remain.
I thought, our love was timeless
these letters told me so.
And all you were ever doing
was ripping away my soul.
I must bury these letters
along with our memories.
And try to face the truth
you never really loved me.
