Long Shadows
4 February, 2007
Author: Pondering Red
Yesterday...
so far away.
One minute flows into another.
Sun shadows flow into
the lightness of dusk into
the city darkness of lamplights.
Full moon over the tall buildings-
Moon so small -
Cracks in the sidewalk so long -
Nightime shadows stretch
halfway down the street.
Noone walks by.
Sleepy city -
I hear my footsteps
walking into tomorrow ....

barb (216.129.12.189) -- Tuesday, February 6 2007, 05:23 am Your writing was so descriptive. I felt like I was on a dark street walking. It meant something different to you, but I enjoyed interperting it my way. Thanks for a nice peaceful read. |
Meridian (71.241.31.244) -- Tuesday, February 6 2007, 05:33 am It's good to imagine such tranquility. I don't know what we would do without our dreams and imagination...our creative side wouldn't emerge as much. But I agree with Lady B, this was so real... Enjoyed your poem P.R.! |
