Lost In The Sky
10 February, 2007
Author: Nicole Ricketts
I took a trip just the other day
To a place of sparkly blues
You may be mad If I say
I went to see you
You told me I have to be strong
Through thick and thin
Even through our favorite song
But I can't, it's tearing away all my skin
I am tired of all the tears
Running down my face
I am tired of all the fears
That you aren't here to chase
I could really use a friend
Who won't leave me all alone
Because I have a heart to mend
And I am still living in your time zone
I want to knock down this wall
That is blocking everyone out
But it's going to be hard, because I feel so small
Nobody hears me, even when I shout
Please come home and don't be mad
When I come and visit you in the sky
I want what I once had
I want to say goodbye
