The Star Of My Heart
10 February, 2007
Author: Keith
There is a place inside of me
For the quietness of my heart
That reserves within its walls
A life’s journey written in art
A statue emanates tales of triumph
The greatest achievements of my past
From glory days and determined ways
These moments flew by too fast
A picture tells a thousand words
The sadness within the soul
It wears the scars of untold tales
The darkness black as coal
Next there is a painting
Displaying the beauty of life’s design
The fleeting moments, the perfect days
There within no words can define
Move deeper and the air is filled with music
Played by the important people I hold dear
Each unique in its beautiful way
Always there for me to hear
Last there is the star of my heart
She shines above the rest
She laughs and dances in the sky
With beauty beyond contest
Her smile can fade the darkest clouds
Her voice comfort the deepest fears
Her touch more soothing than an ocean wave
Her wisdom beyond the years
No statue could show her beautiful curves
Nor could a picture capture those blue eyes
No painting could display that inner fire
Nor could music make me soar in the skies
She is perfect in every way
Well beyond the works of art
Deep within me she will stay
The beautiful star of my heart
