One Word
19 February, 2007
Author: Shan
I gazed into your eyes
Glazed so beautifully blue
My heart whispered to me
And that's right when I knew
Every moment in time
From past to the present
Each one's been a gift
So everlasting and pleasant
What led me to this
Wasn't a kiss or a hug
It was the end of my search
On my journey for love
I knew as we stood
Watching the moon in the sky
What's always been true
Has one word to describe
Love, in this world
So mystically hidden
Love, as two make
A wordless commitment
Love, what it is
Love, what it isn't
Love imperfections
As they are commitment
I knew when the stars
Lit up my heart and the sky
I know love is true
Between you and I

I love you, lips! |

Indeed I love this piece as it has no sexual over-tones only pure and powerful love. I am not even sure what to say, Shan this poem brought a tear to my eyes. Fantastic, I love this poem, you have captured the essence of love perfectly. Great job, please keep writing. |
