Cigarettes Ugh
22 July, 2003
Author: Del
Don't think you're so smart,
When you smoke that cigarette.
You're shortening your life minute by minute,
Now just don't you forget
Oh! today you're feeling super!
There's nothing you can't do!
Smoking is still the 'in thing'
How can it be bad for you?
It's bad for you in so many ways,
I'm sure you're aware of this.
Unless your loved ones also smoke
How could they bestow you with a kiss?
Cigarettes have an odor,
That's simply overpowering.
You can't get rid of the stink you have,
Even with daily showering.
You lungs were always so pure and clean,
Till you smoked that cigarette.
Since all that tar is buildng up
CANCER is what you'll get.
Do you really need that pacifier?
No matter what price you pay?
No, you really don't need that crutch
Throw those DAMM killers away

Lillianna (68.113.60.103) -- Wednesday, October 22 2003, 10:16 am I don't understand why all you commenters are so rude. All she did was state the facts about cigarette smoking. All of what she said in this poem is true. Personally, I liked your poem.(snipped) |
ym (207.190.93.152) -- Saturday, November 29 2003, 12:43 am I know it's been a while since this poem was posted, but I just wanted to set things straight. I wasn't trying to be rude, I was saying it was a good poem that people have their opinions about. Personally, I don't like smokers. That's my opinion. But it was a very well written poem and I enjoyed seeing all the facts laid out. Keep up the work! |
