Lullaby
7 March, 2007
Author: Shelbie Anderson
Of all the days that have gone by
I want to sing the lullaby
The one that will hold me dear
And never cause a living tear
The one that is close to my heart
So that it will never tear us apart
But we’re goin’ down when we start to frown
And as I look I finally see
That I don’t love you and you don’t love me
So bring on the sorrow
The guilt in my dreams
But maybe one day we’ll finally see
That we needed to go our separate ways
So we can see to live better days
But my heart is empty
The cobwebs are there
I need to forget but
I still wanna care.
