What could have gone wrong?

Remember the wonderful nights we shared,
Our love so warm and true.
Will it only be a memory
And forever keep me blue?

You said you really loved me,
And I believed you too.

How can I believe we're thru?

Thank you for the E-mail,
You sent to me today.
I am so exited,
I don't know what to say.

I had told myself you didn't care,
It was just another fling.
When I read the words, 'I love you.'
It made my sad heart sing.

You asked me if I missed you,
Since we've been apart.
Darling, words just can't express
This longing in my heart.

My nights are oh, so lonely,
It's so hard to dismiss,
The wonderful memories of you,
And your sweet and tender kiss.

Yes, my darling, I love you too,
So hurry back to me,
To share our love forever,
Thru all eternity.
