What's Fame Anyway?
12 March, 2007
Author: Emilee
You feel like you could touch the sky
The truth is you’ll never fly that high
If you reach out your hand you’ll take it
And if you give out your heart, you’ll break it
Smile over the things you’ve been taught
Don’t hold on to something you’ve lost
And it’s okay if your wings just won’t fly
Whoever said you had to touch the sky?
Maybe sometimes the best things in life
Are the answers that you’ll never find
And it’s okay if you can’t reach the stars
Always remember that you tried so hard
At the end of the day
What’s fame anyway?
You laugh and dance like you have no cares
Despite their looks and despite all the stares
They just don’t know who you are
There’s no way they can see your heart
What do they matter in the end?
You shouldn’t worry, you’ll show them
And it’s okay if your wings just won’t fly
Whoever said you had to touch the sky?
Maybe sometimes the best things in life
Are the answers that you’ll never find
And it’s okay if you can’t reach the stars
Always remember that you tried so hard
At the end of the day
What’s fame anyway?
Just remember you’ll show them all
Though they are waiting to see you fall
So what if you don’t make it
You can say that you didn’t fake it
And when you fall don’t cry
At least you tried
Because at the end of the day
What’s fame anyway?
