Spring Showers
15 March, 2007
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Oh Rain, go away
I'm so tired of your dreary ways
It's so nasty, gray all over the place
Please, stop splashing droplets in my face
Where is the sun that I yearn for
The warmth and brightness I adore
I'm wanting to get out of doors
I don't want to see puddles anymore
I guess it's all a part of spring
This blasted rain, the flowers bring
With dreams of dogwoods I try to cling
Oh sweet Sunshine, I need enlightening

Pondering Red (69.156.11.22) -- Tuesday, March 20 2007, 05:15 pm Oh yes, you write with your words how I am feeling. Such lingering cold and wind and snow here !!!! Well expressed and I particularly love the last lines - " With dreams of dogwoods I try to cling Oh sweet Sunshine,I need enlightening." !!!!! |
