Silence Before The Battle
30 March, 2007
Author: Dman14
As I wait in the brush,
All I hear is my heart beat.
The silence before the battle
seems to carry on for hours.
As the sun rises
all you can hear are
guns loading and prayers.
As time runs out
and the enemy appears
over the horizon all you
can do is hope.
When the battle comes you wonder,
"Is this my time"
Will I live or die?
Will my family be happy or cry.
When the battles done all you
think about is your friends.
Then you Pray.
