Just Friends
8 July, 2003
Author: Del
I've tried so hard to capture,
Your wild and restless heart,
But I realize you don't intend
To give our love a start.
I've spent so many days and nights,
Just dreaming of you, dear.
Oh, how I wish with all my might,
That I could hold you near.
I feel so very much for you,
But love's a funny thing,
It doesn't always cooperate,
And let a sad heart sing.
True love comes right from the heart
And all hearts don't agree.
So, even tho' I want your heart,
I guess it's not for me.
Nothing I would do or say,
Could ever make amends.
So, darling, I will have to be,
Content with just being friends
