A Rainy Dreary Day
7 August, 2003
Author: Del
It's been raining all day, dear,
And it's still going strong,
The pitter, pitter, patter
Of nature's sweet song.
I love a rainy, dreary day.
Oh, yes it makes me blue,
But it also brings back memories
Of the hours I shared with you.
How often we were together,
On a rainy, dreary day.
Oh, how I'd love to listen,
To the crazy things you'd say.
You tried so hard to cheer me,
Whenever I felt blue.
How nice it would have been, dear
If what you said were true.
Now all I do is dream of you
And the things you used to say.
So you see you still are cheering me,
On a rainy, dreary day.
