Once Upon A Time
15 April, 2007
Author: Luke Mudge
I stand, then pause, then I glance, and I smile,
You pause, you look back, you gaze, for a while,
Your eyes tell a story, of a yearning, trying not to scream,
And I’ll be here, never leaving, holding you forever like a dream.
What you said, how it means, what it does to me, and how I feel,
Your all I think about, while I sleep, wherever I am, it’s so real.
We met for a reason, a special lining in a star,
So we look upon them knowing we’re not that far.
Your voice whispers upon me as we gaze into each others eyes,
About our lives, what’s in store and how you will never be filled with cries.
Showing you the world, and everything that is possible,
Without knowing, just moving on, it’s what makes this unstoppable.
I want you to be the one that glares upon the sunset during the warm august nights,
So you can see what I can’t forget and how beautiful memories are strung like lights.
Another sigh with a smile knowing you feel the same way,
Lifts me above the clouds falling into nothing except Heavens ray.
Finally the chance, there’s been a spark,
The light has shined in, No longer in the dark
Caring is one thing, Time going by,
Knowing the right way, the distance is a far cry.
Facing reality, my dream came true
This happened for a reason, why I met you.
I play the piano, relating every note as to how I feel,
Now a masterpiece that I can picture, something nobody can steal.
I’ll treat you right, like the angel that you are,
Caring, and holding, and never going far,
You are the one I want to be with, the one I want to show the world too.
You will never realize how good I felt, the first night I laid my eyes on you.
