Tear-filled Heart

Lost my umbrella,
I never got to tell her.
As in my heart it starts to rain,
slowly one by one away from me her kisses drain.
Now raining hard,
as I search for my guard.
But she took it away,
that very first day.
Puddles of hurt,
that bring with them dirt.
I try to rinse,
but it's been this way since.
My heart drowned,
so it didn't hear the sound.
Of the sledgehammer she took to my heart,
too busy swimming in true love I couldn't stop it falling apart.
Waters so deep,
as my heart and soul they sweep.
Sinking now with no way out,
upon deaf ears falls my shout.
Learning to swim,
as I grasp the brim.
Hoping I may make a new start,
as I cry alone in this TEAR-FILLED HEART!!!!
