Sweet Soul To Slip
4 May, 2007

Fragments of hurt,
I find laying before me here in the dirt.
Love I held so tight in my hand,
slips through my fingers like grains of sand.
Pieces of me,
that until now I couldn't see.
Hurt over here rejection over there,
I wander this life for an angel to care?
Embrace me in their wings,
as their angelic kisses soothe my stings.
A firm grip on my lost soul,
clasping their hand so feared to fall.
Holding on tight,
as in their arms I soar tonight.
No more tears do I cry,
as their love allows me to touch the sky.
Taking their hand,
they catch me when I can't stand.
Whisk me from this pain that I feel,
if only for tonight they seem so real.
Faith I hold,
in these angels so bold.
Stronger now becomes their grip,
refusing to allow this SWEET SOUL TO SLIP!!!
