Know How To Swim
7 May, 2007

I'm not numb,
still you treat me like I'm dumb.
Broken promises thick and fast,
why did I think that we could last?
You love another,
and that's no bother.
I cannot be second best anymore,
please just turn around and go.
Leave my heart,
so I may mend what you had to start.
I don't need your putdowns,
I lost my smile you found my frowns.
Please don't think,
that without you I'll sink.
I don't need your love to float,
my salvation is my boat.
I love me,
that's the way it should be.
Don't need you around,
because of you I nearly drowned.
Now I grow,
into a better person than you'll ever know.
So when I splutter don't grab my limb,
for I don't need you anymore I KNOW HOW TO SWIM!!
