Receding Waters
15 May, 2007
Author: Miztrebor
Two lakes separated
By a mountain range
Raging waters building up
Venting off through clouds of steam
Not one can see the other
But their waters high
Can see all the world below
This offspring can overlook
The walls that were built
To disillusion minds
Onlookers may see nothing
But the children aren’t
Blind to the ambitions of
The lakes under the mountains
Ever sooner does draw
The end the day when
The lakes will recede
They will turn into holes
In the souls of the offspring
Into empty vast caverns
Deep into the minds
Overlooking the world
There is one that sees
Overlooking the world
There is one that doesn’t know
His life is bare
The other’s is still searching for
A life once wanted to be felt
The life once known then
Left to be alone cold in the night
But it will all come to an end
Soon enough will the pain
Be gone from the heart that cries
And will cry no more for
The methods of the long gone lakes
Only to feel the Love from the
World around with no barrier to entry
