Adjusted Attitude

I’m a dead man walking...
Each night I go to sleep
thinking that,
“If I don’t wake up again,
then that’s all right -
that’s cool with me.”
You see,
life is precious,
but only to those who enjoy it.
If you have a life
that has value,
that gives you what is called
quality of life,
and you look forward
to each morning,
then that’s great,
I guess.
But I don’t know what that means.
So if I kick off,
then that’s all right with me.
It don’t mean nothin’...
and I’m tired, anyway.
