The Long Haired Ghost
19 May, 2007
Author: Robert
I felt his presence in my room
His hand upon my face
I laid in silence on my bed
As my heart began to race.
I heard a knock upon my door
As I let out a scream
For I had just awakened
From a nearly dreadful dream.
I fear to go to sleep at night
To think he might be there.
Who is this awful wretched man?
I feel him everywhere.
Tonight I hear him breathing
Very loud, very clear.
Now I hear a clanging,
Are those chains that I hear?
I slithered from my covers
And .peeked beneath my bed.
Who do you think the ghost was
Dancing in my head?
Daisy was there without a care
Sawing off a log
She’s welcome with me
I’d rather it be
Not a ghost, but just my dog.
