Daydreams
23 May, 2007
Author: Catyrose
Reclining in sweet repose
Against the naked aspen tree
The desert sun caresses bare shoulders
A light dusting of freckles adorns a turned up nose
She sighs and breathes in this tranquil moment
This is her place, her sanctuary
Miles away from those who would disturb this sense of peace
In solitude all stress and strain are effortlessly released
These moments are few and far between
She allows herself to time travel and believe in her dreams
Envisioning a pathway
Which leads to a brighter day
A space in time unlike any she has ever known
In this daydream residing in a place, she calls her very own
Filled with a sense of contentment
A sense of purpose abounds
Rising ever so slowly
With feet planted firmly on none too solid ground
Encased in the sun’s warm glow
Turning and striding in the direction
That only she must know
