A Heart's Shell
28 May, 2007
Author: Miztrebor
Fade back into the sky
As dwellers, on the ground,
See the first morning’s light.
The life giver is awakening:
To waken the slumberers,
To bring about a beginning to the day.
But the nocturne sleeps now,
As his honorable beauty takes leave.
Leaving him to waist in a land,
To dream, for their next encounter.
A daytime passes, and a darkness moves in
The blue is engulfed in a cloak of black.
The nocturne wakens, searching in the sky
But he does not see her,
He waits
And waits,
And waits,
And finally stops waiting.
Not patient anymore he takes up his steed,
A beautiful pitch black giant,
And rides off to the Cliff.
This cliff is the highest place, the closest place,
To get to his beloved.
He once used this cliff to meet her,
To envision a world all their own,
But now this doesn’t help.
She is nowhere to be found.
Has he been left alone in this world,
While she is off in a better place?
No she wouldn’t just leave like that,
With no word as to why and where.
He sits sad, cold in the night,
Getting wetter by the moment,
But this he notices not.
It’s been raining all night now,
And still he doesn’t know
For he is caught up in longing,
Caught up in his search.
He is about to leave when he starts to notice,
Starts to realize that there is no hope to find her.
But is the hope really gone, is that not her
Sitting upon the midnight chariot?
Yes he sees her now, elated,
Overwhelmidly running and trips.
He’s embarrassed and slightly bruised,
She is smiling, and delighted.
This smile reveals the culprit of the fall.
A lonely shell, perfect in shape and color,
Perfect for the fact that she placed it there.
He picks it up and cries to her, to never leave,
Never again to go without saying.
But right then he knows,
She is there right now, in two places.
Once in the sky for all to admire and idol
And again in his hands, in his heart, in Him.
This shell was given to unveil a heart,
She has now entered him in to the world once imagined
Once upon that very cliff
Now they are together linked by the shell,
The symbol, the Love,
Together at last.
