The Reality
10 June, 2007
Author: Ing Twi Demalah
The reality is this
I love you
I don’t know how or why
Just that I do.
That when you are not with me
I don’t smile as much or laugh as much
I don’t feel as happy or alive
You make me feel needed, wanted, desired
You make me feel like I can do anything
It may sound corny and cliché
But it is still the truth
I cannot promise you the moon
Or give you the world
But I can give you my heart
And all of my love
I just want to make you happy
To be the one you come home to
Your shoulder to cry on
Your love
I want you to smile and laugh
To be yourself
I want to be there with you
For the good and the bad
To face together with you
All that life has to offer
To take care of you
To give to you the joy
You have given to me
To have you trust me with your heart
Knowing that I will not break it
Nor will I ever hurt you
Or treat you unkind
Because, the reality is
That I love you

Tammy (64.57.162.36) -- Wednesday, June 20 2007, 10:11 pm This is another beautiful write you have shared with us, Love is not what one can give, but the heart that can be shared. Truly Beautiful! |
Ing Twi Demalah (159.105.102.42) -- Wednesday, June 20 2007, 11:29 pm I thank you for your encouraging words. You are correct, love is the heart shared not what is given. Some times, as in this case, the person has not experienced love like that and so it is hard for her to imagine. |
