Stop Looking At Me
14 June, 2007
Author: Dani
You sicken me as I look at your face. You are what you said you wouldn’t be.
You pretend you are better, but you’re the same you just do not see.
You promised you wouldn’t hurt him, you promised you would care.
But when I look into your eyes, you have this fraudulent mindless stare.
You pretend you are better, but you’re not! You are the same.
You blame your Dad for all you disheartened feelings, you woeful shame.
You pledged you would make him a promising life.
But you seem to ruin it all. To be a good mother and a wife.
I want to heave when I see you can not show your love
and how you ask for un wanted guidance from above.
Your eyes are so cold. He didn’t deserve this. What did he do?
He is you baby, He grew inside of you.
What happened to your love you claimed you would feel?
Did you lie to yourself to encourage others to know it was real?
What is going around in your head. Read him a book for heaven’s sake.
Give him a cuddle. His only love he will take.
He came in for breakfast and you told him to go away.
You say I am sorry baby. Mummy didn’t mean to make you sad.
And he says “Mummy no I am sorry that I made you mad”
You promise again tomorrow will be another day.
But you lie. You lie to me and yourself. You lie to your boy.
He is your heart and soul, not some tatty old toy.
Will he leave home before you realize that you have ruined his life.
You are a terrible mother and a really bad wife.
Will he take your place in the shrinks chair?
Saying he doesn’t give a sh^t and he doesn’t care?
After a few session he will realize you are the one to blame.
You yelled and you cursed. You made him ashamed.
Is it because you never had love yourself and you were treated this way?
Or do you really not care and wished he’d go away?
Do you convince yourself if you are hated you can leave,
Because you are scared of loss and couldn’t possibly grieve?
I stare at you, you stare back. I know you want to die.
But it is I who I am looking at. It is I who I see cry.
