Painting Over Your Vibes
20 June, 2007
Author: Pondering Red
Vibrant red - pink
doors and window frames.
I paint over the dingy off white.
I paint over my despair -
I cover the walls with a
dazzling blue in my back porch -
a mexican fiesta.
I want this space to look
like Frida Kahlo's house -
sunny, fun, creative
and oozing with an energy
of newness and positive possibilities.
With every brush stroke,
I can feel the walls,
the shapes of the brick,
the many decades of peoples storys.
Tangerine colour goes
on your tiny room,
covering the depressions,
bringing out zippy freshness and brightness.
I paint away my anxiety.
I paint over the panic and confusion.
I paint my way into a colourful happyness.
