Summer made her entry
in the dark of the night.
The radiant blue dawn clouds
paraded by my
porch windows,
amidst a golden glow
of light of celebration.

The longest day of the year -
my birthday - the festivals that
abound in this city -
the day I always long for, anticipate
with the wonder and exuberance
of a child.

My inner child - my childhood memorys,
my childlike joys and playful ways
all wait for these days !!!
My fears are strong -
my battles are going on -
the summer breeze erases many anxieties.
I am feeling
a peaceful energy
as I try not to resist the flow.

Welcome summer !!
The wonderful sunny dazzling season
of awesome memorys and
infinite possibilities -
both tiny and small and bigger and huge !!!!
like fireflys in the forest nightime and
dragonflys buzzing
around the shoreline of my childhood lake,
I await my birthday -
the sunniest longest daylight hours -
What a gift !
always a summer child,
I am buzzing with many energys !!
