Evening Of The Third
4 July, 2007
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Sitting, quietly listening as the water trickled from the waterfall. The warm water enveloping my body as I soaked. The scent on gunpowder wafted through the air. Spectacular bursts of lights flashed in the darkened sky; first in one direction and than another. Crackling pops were heard as sparkles shimmered and disappeared into a haze of smoke behind a nearby tree. |
