Last Breath
11 July, 2007
Author: Ben Franklin

vinebar

The day was so surreal,
Got home and I still thought
You were in the hospital waiting on those
Wounds to heal

Two weeks have passed
And I now know for real that you have
Past away,
Going to miss the things you did Dad,
And the words you used to say

Was wishing you would wake up,
Come too,
Wished I had the powers to make you better
And start you off brand new

A huge void has been left,
But your strength and courage
Has been passed down…and I PROMISE I won’t give up until my last breath.

Sleep peacefully Dad

Great Tribute

This poem to your father is so nice and touching. Once again, I am truly sorry and I wish I didn't sound like a broken record but these are all the words I have since I can't hug you and tell you in person. We're worlds apart.

perfect emotions

What a nice thing to be remembered for,a dad a strong person and brave. To have someone like that that loved you is a special thing to have for awhile. Really liked this.
