A Pair

Isn’t it funny
Aren’t we a pair
You were waiting so long
For someone to care
thinking it impossible
for wishes to come true
finding the one you were waiting for
was here, waiting for you
don’t you think it funny
aren’t we the pair
both searching for someone to love
yet both of us scared
now here we are together
finally holding one another
we both have exactly what we need
neither trusting to lean on the other
doesn’t it make you laugh
aren’t we a funny pair
scared of how much love we have
frightened that tomorrow it wont be there
yet every day we grow closer
every day we show our love to be true
the road of life can be rocky
but together we can make it through
Isn’t it silly
Aren’t we quite the pair
So obviously In-love
So un-sure of where to go from here
Life is hard when it changes
But we are where we should be
I promise I will be strong for you my love
Just as you have been strong for me
You have to think it funny
Aren’t we an amazing pair
We have waited so long for each other
And someone heard that prayer
For each morning we wake to love
And the sun caresses you lovely face
And see you smile though the day
Then fall asleep in your embrace
Doesn’t it make you happy
Did you ever think we’d a pair
No more searching or longing
We have our love right here
Isn’t it amazing
We are finally a pair
