We Don't Need The Past
20 July, 2007
Author: Shira
I lost you once but never again
Don't fret this isn't the end
We don't have the past
But now we have forever
We can always delve into our memories and remember
Though you were gone in my heart you remained
Without you it was lifeless and stained
But still I pushed on with the thoughts you'd return
I thought of you endlessly finally God gave me a turn
He answered my prayer, though one I've forgotten
So here's to all the birthdays you missed
And all those father days I never gave you a kiss
Here's to those Easters, Christmases and Halloweens
Here's to all those dances and boyfriends you'll never meet
I'm sorry we missed so much bu we still have forever
You found me and I found you....forever...together.
