Alone With Death

I am alone in this old house,
I hear a knock,
I am scared,
My heart is pounding as I walk,
Pounding!
Pounding!
Pounding!
Pounding!
I open the door,
"AHHHHHH"
Cold steel in my heart,
I am dead.

This is my first poem I wrote. I was in fifth grade and this was the last day of my innocence. |
