Words

Words,
So many of them,
jangled thoughts,
they come to me
when I have neither paper nor pen
to express them.
It is fruitless to try to recreate
the memory.
Words,
they come at night
and taunt me.
No, I say,
tomorrow I will express you,
tomorrow you will take form...
Words,
that lull me to sleep
and fail to return.

shiloh (66.24.112.118) -- Tuesday, January 1 2008, 07:39 am like everyone else, the thoughts you have as you start to fall asleep remain as nebulous as the clouds above once you waken and try to bring them back... excellent writing on the frustration of lost thoughts, which we all have experienced, but this is the first i have seen where it was described - this is a great poem... peace... |
