Hear The Silence

Quiet day in july -
summer ticking bye bye -
never as long as one wants -
never as fiery and sizzling
as one expects -
speak for my self.

I am one.
I am content.
I am silent desperation.
On this summer's morning -
the radio is blasting
a loud song -
loudness to soothe
and mask over my worries -
to get me energized.

I search and do not search for
someone to help me -
something to help me -
some wisdom to help my self -
so that I can help others -
Hear my silence....

Summer is rolling along -
people going to festivals,
restaurants, sitting outside -
eating and sipping
on drinks and deserts and ice cream -

And I walk slowly,
lost in thought -
doing the same old chores.
Don't get me wrong.
I am singing my own song.
Lots of creative things to do -
house in order -
a space I adore -
Quietude - solitude -
Don't get me wrong.
Alone time is great.
I treasure the peace
and the sounds of the rain drops
dripping loud
drip drip -

Such inequality on this planet -
starvation and hedonism -
gathering water and spending money -
collecting cans from the garbage
and buying thousand dollar hand bags.

Something is so
obviously unbalanced.
It is scary
that not much is done -
power is money -
money is not power -
words are powerful -
Bad power is greed and disharmony.
Good power is a balance and flow.

And so I wander once more
into the drizzling outside world -
to connect even without trying to connect
to the world out there -
where things just roll
on bye bye
like yesterday -
like the day before that -
like tomorrow,
unless someone hears
my silent scream -
unless someone hears the
silent screams of others -
unless there is more balance,
things will remain as they are.

And so the rains soothe -
the trees are content -
the cool air is inviting.
The answers lie with the breezes
and the sky's ever changing displays.
Silently I walk amidst the soft rains.

Hear my silent message.
I have some silent answers
that may help you -
listen -
And you may have some answers for me.....

Totally, so totally beautiful !!!

You play the alphabet as well as anyone... I would compare your ability with words to the musical ability of Eric Clapton (which is definitely a compliment) - this is the first of your poems that I have looked at, but it has made a believer of me, and it will not be the last of your poems that I will enjoy. This is art, pure, untainted, simple... and joyous to the mind, like candy or presents to a child - you do write well. Peace...

your trademark

The dashes you use, it seems as though a million thoughts cloud your mind and you write down each one before they become interrupted by another thought. Maybe that's just me. But Shiloh is on the ball. This is beautiful. You remind me of Emerson, the transcendentalist man - the way you fall in love in nature so and describe it here is beautiful.

Thanks PR! Lovely!
