Whiskey Daze (and Nights)
23 August, 2007
Author: Miztrebor
I woke early this mornin'
Stale whiskey on my breath
Wonderin what i did last night
Stumble off the couch
Find my way to my feet
And i fell down again
It's another night in a whisky daze
I feel like s*** and look like hell
All my friends say:
"Stop drinking and let her go"
But she's all i know
I can't let her go
I found my way to the phone
Picked it up to call her
But it felt warm and tasted right
Put the bottle down
Here her voice in my ear
And sum one saying come back dear
It's another day in a whiskey daze
I feel like s*** and look like hell
All my friends say:
"Stop drinking and let her go"
But she'll all i know
I can't let her go
She came to me in a dream
Walked right into my life
They all say she's no good
But i keep holdin on
It's another day and i know my fate
I'm starting to come down
All they say is:
"You're coming down, just take it slow"
I don't know if i can let her go
But i Love her, i know.
